MIAMI - Tropical Storm Jerry has formed in the distant Atlantic
Jerry is the tenth tropical storm of the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season.
The storm is far away from the U.S. and poses no threat.
At 11 a.m. Monday, Jerry was about 1200 miles east-southeast of Bermuda and moving toward the east at 7 mph. A slow and erratic motion is expected over the next few days.
Top winds were 40 mph with some strengthening expected.
Elsewhere, a system south-south west of Jamaica has a medium chance - 30 percent - of developing ovr the next five days.
It is moving slowly to the northwest.
