TAMPA - Convicted murderer Donald Montanez was sentenced to 35 years in state prison Friday.
A jury found Montanez shot Chuck "Glen" Rich during a confrontation near the Sugar Shack strip club on January 8, 2006.
The tow truck company business owner was convicted in March of manslaughter and third-degree felony murder. Jurors acquitted Montanez of second-degree murder, the most serious charge he was facing.
