TAMPA - Tampa syndicated talk show host Todd Schnitt is making international waves after placing a $50,000 bounty on the head of Julian Assange, the man behind the controversial Wikileaks website.

Wikileaks has come under fire by many leaders, including U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, for publicizing sensitive government information that some believe may put U.S. soldiers in danger. The site recently published 251,287 leaked United States Embassy cables, reportedly the largest set of confidential documents ever to be released into the public domain.

Schnitt refers to 39-year-old Assange as a menace and has said, “Assange is a terrorist, an enemy combatant, and needs to be treated as such,” several times on his program, which airs from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Amazon kicked the site off of its servers Wednesday after in an effort to distance themselves from Assange.

Assange was placed on INTERPOL’s most wanted list after Sweden issued an arrest warrant against him as part of a drawn-out rape investigation. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Schnitt has announced that anyone with credible information that could lead the federal or international authorities to the capture Assange is eligible for the reward.

The email to send in tips is schnittshow@aol.com , and his website says that all credible information with be handed over to INTERPOL or other authorities.
