TAMPA - Tampa Police have identified the three Occupy Tampa protesters arrested overnight.

Karel Sourcre, 31, Keith Cuesta, 24 and Stephen Gentile, 29 were arrested at Curtis Hixon Park Friday morning after officers attempted to remove tents along the sidewalk.

The three members of Occupy Tampa were hauled off in handcuffs after a scuffle with police.

Tampa Police say two tents were set up in Curtis Hixon Park, which is illegal, so they asked protesters to take them down.

Protesters allegedly refused, and police say two people also shoved an officer.

Sourcre and Gentile were taken to jail this morning and Cuesta was transported to the hospital to be checked out after falling.

The protesters say they did nothing wrong.

Police are charging Cuesta and Gentile with battery on a law enforcement officer. Gentile has an additional charge of obstruction or opposing an officer without violence. Sourcre is being charged with interference with a police investigation and resisting without violence.
