Tampa man arrested on child pornography charges

TAMPA - A man who serves as a reservist in the United States National Guard was arrested Wednesday.

Steven Brannon, 25, is charged with eight counts of Distribution of Child Pornography and 21 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

On June 15th, detectives executed a search warrant at Brannon's residence on Pine Ct. after a two month investigation. They seized computers, hard drives and SD cards as part of the investigation.

After a thorough investigation, detectives found that Brannon was in possession of files depicting children between the ages of 3-16 engaged in sexual activities, a police report said.

Detectives say Brannon was also distributed the files for download.

He is currently being held in a Hillsborough County Jail on a $217,500 bond.
