Romney, Ryan to attend Lakeland farewall rally Friday, open to public

TAMPA - Now that the Republican National Convention has come to a close, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, and his VP pick Paul Ryan will attend a farewell rally in Lakeland today.

The rally will be held at the Lakeland Linder Regional Airport and free its free for the public, but to attend, you must RSVP and print out a ticket.

The event starts at 9:30 a.m., but people can arrive as early as 7:30 a.m.

A Facebook invitation to the rally was posted.

It said: "All attendees will go through airport-like security and should bring as few personal items as possible. No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids, or signs will be allowed in the venue. Cameras are permitted."
