TAMPA - There’s an update in the case of Julie Schenecker, the Tampa mom charged with killing her two teenage kids.
A judge has given prosecutors until August to determine whether they'll seek the death penalty against Schenecker.
The judge also set an August deadline for Schenecker's defense team to decide whether they will use an insanity defense.
Police believe Schenecker shot her 13-year-old son, Beau, and her 16-year-old daughter, Calyx, because she was fed up with them talking back.
