Police: Man killed after early morning shooting at Ybor City club

TAMPA - A man is dead after an early morning shooting at a club in Ybor City.

Officials say 20-year-old Leslie Jermone Jones Jr. was shot inside Club Empire, located at 1902 E Seventh Ave. just before 3 a.m. Jones was shot in the head and died instantly.

Jones' friends drug him outside of the club, where Tampa Police officers found him.

A second man, 21-year-old Ahmaud Black was shot in the chest. Black was uncooperative and would not talk to law enforcement, according to police reports. His wound was serious but not life threatening.

Police have not identified any suspects.
