TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa Police detectives are searching for a man who shot at a Park Ranger Friday night.

Officials say James R. Davidson was writing a ticket for a car parked at Kwane Doster Park around 7:20 p.m. when a man walked up and started cursing at the ranger.

The man got into the car and drove to the opposite end of the park.

Witnesses say the man exited the vehicle and fired at least four shots in the direction of the ranger.

Davidson was not hit, but one round struck a house on South Morton Street.  No one was injured.

Police are on scene investigating.  They have not released a description of the suspect or his vehicle.
