TAMPA - Tampa Police say a large-scale search for a someone being forced to get into a car was simply a family fight.

Officers searching for the girl spotted a suspect vehicle parked at a fast food restaurant on Hillsborough Avenue near 30th Street.  When officers confronted the man, he explained the fight was with his 16-year-old daughter.

She had missed the bus and called him for a ride. However, her grandmother directed her not to leave with her father, but to instead wait for the grandparents.

When the girl's father pulled into the parking lot, she explained that she was waiting for her grandmother and walked away from the car.

The father jumped out of the front passenger seat and dragged her back to the car. The teenager fought with him, but he forced her into the car and took her to the grandparent's house.

Officers found the uninjured teenager nearby shopping with her grandmother.
