Police investigating drive-by shooting at Tampa apartment, victim not cooperating, officials say

TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa authorities are investigating a drive by shooting that happened at a Tampa housing complex called North Boulevard Homes just after midnight.

Officials say the victim who was shot won’t provide any information about the shooting and he isn’t cooperating.

The victim was standing outside the apartment complex on the corner of Main Street and Oregon Avenue, when a vehicle made a left turn off of Oregon Avenue to Main Street . Someone in the car opened fire on the victim leaving him with non life threatening injuries.

He was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Police do not have a motive as to why the shooting happened; the incident remains under investigation.
