TAMPA, Fla. - The Occupy Tampa movement will gather again Friday morning at Gaslight Park in downtown Tampa, according to their Facebook page.

Occupy Tampa is one of the many spin-off groups across the country inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement in New York.

Occupy Tampa has been gathering at the location to peacefully protest corporate greed, the weak job market  and other various causes.

The group staged a protest Thursday and asked participants to bring food, supplies and sleeping bags to “occupy the park”.

However, in an Occupy Tampa Facebook post, the group states that by consensus they opted to return Friday instead, from dusk until dawn.

“The marches went off without a hitch. Six-hundred marched and adhered to all traffic laws,” the group wrote regarding Thursday's gathering.

The group places an emphasis on remaining peaceful in their interactions with police.

“We fight the system, but not those who are asked to enforce unjust laws,” Occupy Tampa wrote.
