NEW TAMPA - The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner ruled the death of a man whose body was found on a sidewalk in Pebble Creek Village in New Tampa a homicide.

Just before 8:00 p.m., Thursday, dispatchers received a call from a resident on Fox Hearst Drive. The homeowner said he found a bleeding man on the sidewalk near his house.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded and found a white male, 18 to 25 years of age deceased at the scene.

The victim did not live at the residence and the homeowner did not know him.

Preliminary indications were the victim suffered trauma to the upper body.
