TAMPA BAY - A military escort will be held to honor the fallen Dunedin soldier Army Spc. Zachary L. Shannon on Monday, March 25.
Shannon died on March 11 in Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he was serving.
He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.
Shannon's remains will arrive at MacDill AFB on Monday at 10:30 a.m. The escort route is open to the public and is expected to begin around 11:15 a.m.
