Medal of Honor Recipient to speak in Tampa Bay area at JHS National Conference

TAMPA BAY AREA - It is a chance to hear one of our country's heroes speak. As part of the JHS National Conference on October 12 at the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota, U.S. Army Specialist, Salvatore Giunta, who received the Medal of Honor for his actions in Afghanistan will be speaking.

It was October of 2007 and Sal's Airborne unit was ambushed. During the fire fight that ensued, one of Sal's closest comrades was taken by the Taliban. Sal responded right away, and charged the enemy position, firing while running forward and got hold of his friend and carried back. Sadly that close friend died later on as a result of his injuries. But for his actions Sal received the Medal of Honor from President Obama.

JHS Capital Holdings, a financial services provider, based out of Tampa has invited Specialist Giunta down to speak at their National Conference. JHS stresses with it's employees strong personal values like - "Put others' interests first", "Model true integrity", "Deal fairly with everyone", "Promote ethical behavior".

They are all strong positive characteristics which our heroes, like Specialist Giunta, exhibited in their actions. So they have chosen to honor Specialist Giunta.
