Krispy Kreme burger still popular, but new ice cream burger could top it

TAMPA - Last year it was the Krispy Kreme burger, two years ago the fried oreo was a hit.

This year though, creative minds have come up with a gut busting burger complete with fried ice cream.

Carousel Foods has created the recipe that you can buy this year at the Florida State Fair.

The burger is topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and two pickles along with the fried ice cream. 

Just a few hours before the fair gates officially opened, Ellen McNamara tried the sweet and salty creation.

"It's really not that bad!," McNamara said.

Dennis Reas with Carousel Foods told McNamara that every year he feels more pressure to come up with a fried food that that can top the year before.
