The girlfriend of accused police officer killer Dontae Morris will receive a jury trial, not a bench trial, a judge ruled Tuesday.

Cortnee Brantley's attorney had hoped that she would get a bench trial because of all the pre-trial publicity that surrounded the case.

A jury deadlocked last month in Brantley's trial stemming from charges that she covered for Morris.

Morris is charged with killing two Tampa police officers during a traffic stop in 2010.

Brantley's second trial starts on Monday.
