TAMPA - For better or worse, as the clock runs down to August 2, Republicans and Democrats find themselves struggling over the national debt. At the Tampa Bay History Center, it wasn't hard to find people worried about the outcome.
Bill Ryan, from Sarasota, believes government should live within the budget, just like the average family does at home.
Both Peggy and Alan Buitekant, in town from Alabama, feel the same way, and that a balanced budget amendment, which they feel would force the Federal Government to live within its means, should be put in place.
For many we spoke to, a frustration with government came to the surface.
Ann Teske said tax reform is a must, and that the top 5% should not be able to shelter money, and the bottom 47% should have to pay some tax.
