CARROLLWOOD, Fla. - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide at Whiskey Park North Bar.
Someone reported shots being fired in the parking lot around 3 a.m. Saturday at 11921 North Dale Mabry Highway.
Early reports indicate that Pablo Bonilla, 23, and his girlfriend were inside the bar when Bonilla saw another man talking to her.
Bonilla and the unidentified man reportedly got into an argument, but separated before any further escalation.
After the bar closed, investigators say the couple - along with several other people - were standing outside in the parking lot.
At that time, a car pulled up and a gunman got out and opened fire on the group, according to detectives.
Multiple shots were fired - striking Bonilla and the other victim at least once in the upper body.
Deputies and emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported both men to the hospital.
While one unidentified victim is currently in critical condition, Pablo Bonilla, 23, later passed away from his injuries.
Through interviewing witnesses, detectives obtained a description of the suspect vehicle - a dark blue Dodge Charger. They also determined the identity of the driver, 27-year-old Jordan Lee McKenna.
With assistance from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, he was taken into custody without incident.
McKenna is charged with Accessory After the Fact to Second Degree Murder with a Firearm and Accessory After the Fact to Attempted Second Degree Murder with a Firearm.
