TAMPA - Are you ready for this week's 10 Questions? It's a fun online article we publish every week featuring one of your top newsmakers. This is a simple way you can get to know them better.

This week, I am thrilled that our very own Linda Hurtado has agreed to put herself in the hot seat! She not only answered the questions, but she shared some old photos with us. They are of Linda in high school and college.

Linda is much more than an anchor and reporter to me. She's someone I consider a mentor.

So, what does Linda have in her refrigerator? Let’s find out...

1) What is your all time favorite movie or song?

My favorite movies are Pride and Prejudice and Gone with the Wind and my favorite song is Something by The Beatles. I guess you can tell by these selections that I’m a hopeless romantic.

2) Do you have a Smartphone? If so, what's your favorite app?

I have a Blackberry -- but I’m itching to buy an iPhone.

3) Who do you count as your mentor(s)?

I learned a lot from watching Martie Tucker (Salt) anchor the news. What you saw on the set was the real Martie. She is smart, classy and funny. And she’s a great mom who is able to juggle both a family and a career. I’ve always admired her and aimed to be as genuine and real. ( Martie Salt now works in Orlando at WFTV)

4) What was your very first job?

In the mall at the ice cream shop. I was 15. I’ve been working every since. I like having my own money.

5) If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

I would be to stop and smell the roses more. I’m a Type A, who is always in action. Even on vacation.

6) What do you consider your greatest success?

I consider my family my greatest success. I married a man I’m still crazy about and we have four great girls and an adopted son from Cuba. We’re a big, happy family but juggling work and home is not always easy. We work at it and, God willing, will continue to be successful in maintaining a happy, healthy home.

7) Tell us something about you most people don't know?

I’m a closet author. I love to write fiction and have finished one book already. Still haven’t sold it, though. Most people read to relax. I write to unwind.

8) If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would they be?

The public figure I’d most love to talk to over dinner is Fidel Castro because his politics have colored my family’s life in many ways and because he has remained, in my opinion, one of the world's most mysterious and guarded leaders. I would also love to have one more dinner with both my mom and dad. Both passed away before I had children and my greatest regret is that they did not meet Jorge and the girls.

9) What is in your fridge right now?

About $300 worth of food! I have at least six people in my house most days and they are always hungry. I couldn't even begin to make a list.

10) If you could have a different career, other then what you're doing now, what would it be?

When I leave this business, I plan to sit on the deck of my beach condo, sip margaritas and make stories up. Maybe I’ll finally stop and smell the roses. Or at least taste the salt.

We hope you have enjoyed this week's profile.
