TAMPA - They're the world's fastest land animals. And with a 130-foot drop and speeds of up to 60 miles per hour, Busch Gardens is giving you the chance to experience what it's like to be a sprinting cheetah on their new ride, Cheetah Hunt.

"We've integrated the behaviors of a cheetah and how it is quick and fast and the agility of its maneuvers into a roller coaster," said Busch Gardens Vice President Mark Rose. "You're close to the ground, you maneuver in and out of trenches, and you’re over a raging river. And we think it’s a perfect marriage of animal and roller coaster."

Combined with Cheetah Hunt is Cheetah Run, a brand new animal habitat experience.

"We're going to be sprinting cheetahs everyday so our guests can see the sheer speed of that amazing beautiful animal," said Busch Gardens President Jim Dean.

And with a ride height requirement of just 48 inches, Cheetah Hunt is a ride that children can enjoy, too.

"Smaller members of the family can ride and it’s the type of ride that the family will enjoy together," said Rose.

Cheetah Hunt opens to the public Friday morning. The ride is fast paced and provided our crew with quite a thrill.
