PALM HARBOR, Fla. - Already banished some 45-minutes away from downtown Tampa, Florida delegates to the Republican National Convention were given another inconvenience: No buses.
Hillsborough county GOP chair Art Wood told ABC Action News that the RNC forgot to schedule transportation. Replacement buses were ordered, and the driver on one of those got lost on the way to the Tampa Bay Times Forum, adding to the delay.
Some delegates were an hour late to the start of the convention at 2:00 P.M. Others were more than 90 minutes late. One delegate said he stood in the heat sweating, wondering what was going on.
The RNC already punished Florida's GOP DELEGATION by reducing the number of delegates by half after Florida' s republican controlled legislature approved moving up Florida's primary date against the rules of the national party.
