TAMPA - A Tampa man is charged with using the Internet to solicit sex with a 10-year-old girl. When he went to meet who he thought would be the girl and her mother, agents with the Florida department of Law Enforcement were waiting for him, according to a statement.
He's identified as Timothy William Schroyer, 42.
Schroyer went to a parking lot on Nebraska Avenue for the meeting just before midnight Monday. He was arrested by Special agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tampa Bay Regional Operations Center High Tech Crime Squad, the statement said.
A search of Schroyer's home turned up two computers that were taken to be analyzed.
He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on two counts of online solicitation of a parent to have sex with a child and one count of traveling to meet a minor for sex.
His bond was set at $22,500, according to jail records.
