ST. PETERSBURG - Ft. De Soto, located at the southern end of Pinellas County is a great place to go biking.
Terry Tomlin, Outdoor Critic for the Tampa Bay Times, took his bike down to Ft. De Soto to check out the trails. He says the more than 6 miles of trails are a great place for families or for the hard core athlete. The 12-foot-wide asphalt recreation trail connects the campground with the North and East Beach Swim Centers and the historic fort. The sea breeze keeps you cool and you can't beat the scenery.
