HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - A former Rays’ player who’s had multiple run-ins with the law has been arrested for skipping out on child support payments according to law enforcement.
Authorities say outfielder Elijah Dukes was arrested Monday afternoon and three contempt of court charges have been filede against him for failing to make the payments.
In the past, Dukes has gotten arrested for obstructing or opposing an officer without violence, battery and misdemeanor marijuana possession.
The bail has not yet been set.
Dukes' hearing is scheduled for 1:45 Wednesday afternoon.
