TAMPA, Fla. - A Town 'N’ Country woman has been charged in an apparent argument that ended in death.
Officials responded to a 911 call from a woman at 8334 Country Square Court at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
When they arrived at the apartment, they heard commotion and forced entry into the home.
Deputies found that Orlando Rangel-Benitez, 28, had been stabbed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rangel-Benitez’s live-in girlfriend, Luz Maribel Myers, 35, was also inside the apartment.
Detectives believe the two got into an argument, which escalated to Myers stabbing Rangel-Benitez.
Myers was arrested and charged with manslaughter with a weapon.
A neighbor who lives next door described the two as a couple who never caused any problems.
