TAMPA - Looking for a simple and elegant dessert to make for Father’s Day? Chef John shows you how to make a strawberry & champagne dessert.
CHAMPAGNE ZABAGLIONE WITH FRESH STRAWBERRIES
Serves 4 to 6
4 oz. Champagne
4 oz. sugar
5 egg yolks
1 qt. Fresh Strawberries, hulled and into half
1. Combine first three ingredients in a stainless steel bowl and whisk thoroughly.
1. Place bowl over simmering water and continue whisking until thick and foamy. You may use an immersion blender if desired.
1. Serve warm in a tall parfait cup over fresh Strawberries
