TAMPA - In just a couple weeks, Cheetah Hunt, the latest roller coaster at Busch Gardens will open up to the public.

What makes this coaster different from all the others is instead that instead of using gravity to propel the ride, magnetic force will be used at three different “launch points,” sending the cars up to 60 miles per hour.

The ride's companion attraction, Cheetah Run, will feature about a dozen cheetahs, a 250-foot straightaway for running, and observation windows so people can get an up-close view of the animals.

The coaster, scheduled to open May 27, has 4,000+ feed of track, and will zip through other animal areas, the park’s Skyride, steam train, and walkways.

Each coaster train seats 16 people and a height requirement of 48 inches to ride will be enforced.
