TAMPA - Busch Boulevard was temporarily shutdown between Dale Mabry and Himes following a small fire on a locomotive Thursday morning.
Officials received a call about the fire just before 4:30 a.m.
The fire was burning underneath one of the rail cars on the train and CSX crews managed to put out the fire.
According to the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, CSX didn’t want fire crews putting water on whatever was inside the railcar.
Fire crews remained on standby with foam, waiting for the fire spots to cool down.
Traffic was briefly diverted to Dale Mabry Boulevard and Himes Avenue.
Busch Boulevard reopened around 6:30 a.m.
