HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - A Tennessee man was arrested in Hillsborough Friday afternoon for robbing a bank. A witness’ phone call helped authorities catch the suspect, according to the Sheriff’s Office report.
Michael Poore walked into Central Bank, located on 716 W Fletcher Avenue at 10:52 a.m.
Poore, 49, approached a teller and handed over a demand note. Deputies said he also implied that he had a weapon.
Poore received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank got into a 2002 Chevrolet Trail Blazer.
A witness used a cell phone and was able to tell authorities where Poore was after he’d left the bank. Poore was arrested at 1511 E 131 Avenue. Deputies recovered the demand note and the stolen money. Poore has been charged with robbery.
