TAMPA - A 14-year-old boy is being hospitalized after getting shot in a Tampa apartment complex Wednesday night.
Police responded to several calls about shots being fired near the entrance of Courtney Cove Apartments, located at 5510 N. Himes Avenue about 8:00 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found the victim, who had been shot in the left shoulder.
The teen was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment and evaluation. His gun wound isn’t considered life threatening.
Authorities are still gathering details about the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
