TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. - Some Treasure Island beach-goers got to see more than just the sunset Monday evening. A man and a woman were arrested for having sex on the beach in front of more than 50 people including a number of children.
Erica Alexandra Huerta, 21 of Tallahassee and Steven Douglas Perry, 22 of Lutz were arrested by Treasure Island Police and charged with one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of Gulf Boulevard, near Caddy's on the Beach.
Police say the couple engaged in sexual activity for more than a half hour and that their actions were in clear view of about 50 restaurant patrons and their children.
The arrest affidavit indicates that alcohol was involved. Bail was set at $10,000 each
