ST. PETERSBURG - Ten men are under arrest after getting caught in what St. Petersburg Police call a “prostitution decoy operation”.
On Wednesday night, District III police set up a prostitution sting at 8 Avenue and 34 Street with an undercover female officer posing as a call girl.
The majority of the suspects, ages 19 to 72, were taken in for soliciting sex acts in exchange for money.
In addition to solicitation, one was charged for exposing himself to the undercover officer, one was a convicted felon in possession of a gun with no serial numbers, two men received citations for driving with a suspended or revoked license, another man received a citation for driving under the influence and one citation was issued for an open container.
Five of the men had their vehicles impounded for using them while they were soliciting the undercover officer.
