ST. PETERSBURG - Around 9:00 a.m. Saturday, Pinellas detectives arrested a suspect that stabbed a man in his car, then fled Friday afternoon, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Witnesses said that suspect Roberto Valle, 41, was having an altercation with Donald Nemeth in his vehicle while stationed in a parking lot at 2749 58th Avenue North.
During the fight, Valle allegedly stabbed Nemeth, 22, then he left the vehicle and ran away.
A wounded Nemeth drove to 2749 58th Avenue North, then collapsed in front of witnesses after getting out of his car.
The witnesses called 911 and when deputies arrived, they found Nemeth unresponsive. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives gathered leads on Valle’s possible whereabouts and monitored one of the locations at Kenvin's Motel.
At approximately 8:20 a.m., deputies captured Valle coming out of room number four, detectives said.
Valle has been charged with second degree murder and he is now in the Pinellas County Jail.
