Rollover crash halts traffic on I-275 in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A woman was seriously injured when she was thrown from her SUV after hitting a guardrail on I-275 near Ulmerton Road Monday morning.

Carrie Ann Wolfe, 42, of St. petersburg was traveling southbound around 7:15 a.m. at a high rate of speed when she lost control during a lane change, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The vehicle spun around and hit a guardrail.  The SUV flipped and Wolfe was ejected from her GM Envoy.

A passenger suffered minor injuries.

The crash caused the southbound lanes of I-275 to be shut down.  All lanes were reopened by 9 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
