Person seen running from boat explosion, fire under investigation

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Authorities are investigating a boat fire where a person was seen running away moments after an explosion Tuesday morning.
The boat fire was called in before 3:00 a.m., at 10100 Gandy Boulevard behind the Gateway Mobile Home Park, according to St. Pete Fire and Rescue.
The boat was stationed in an area designated for residents’ boats when it caught on fire.
The boat was completely destroyed and may have burned another boat next to it.
No injuries have been reported. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fire.
