ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - One person was killed and two others were critically injured in a wrong-way crash on southbound I-275 near the Skyway Bridge Monday morning.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. at Exit 16 just before the Miesner Bridge.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2004 Pontiac driven by 58-year-old Sandra R. Weems of St. Petersburg was traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-275.

A 2007 Ford van, driven by 44-year-old David C. Davis of Oldsmar, was traveling southbound when the two vehicles collided.

Weems died at the scene.

Davis received minor injuries.  A passenger, 40-year-old Dragan Radak of St. Ptersburg, was seriously injured.

Motorists were rerouted at 54th Avenue South and via U.S. 19 to the Skyway.

The two injured victims were taken to Bayfront Medical center.

The crash remains under investigation
