Officials investigate suspicious fire at unoccupied St. Petersburg duplex

Firefighters consider the fire to be suspicious, officials say.

The former owners of the property, located at 340 47 th St N, are deceased and the building was owned by the back.

No one was there by the time fire crews arrived. The fire was extinguished quickly, but the bottom floor of the duplex sustained major damage.

No injuries have been reported.
