ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - St. Petersburg Police are investigating after a man was found shot near his buttocks area Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened just before 3:40 a.m. near the corner of 22 nd St. N and Iris Street N.

Officers received a call from neighbors about a male on the ground in the street.

When they arrived, they noticed he was shot just above the buttocks area.

He was taken to Bayfront Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and no motive has been determined at this time. Police say the victim has not been cooperative. The investigation is ongoing.
