ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A small two-seat helicopter crashed Tuesday evening as the owner tried to move it to another location on his property.

Wayne Parker, 60, keeps a Hughes 300 helicopter at his business, A1 Key & Safe at 4550 35th Street North.

According to Pinellas County deputies, Parker started the helicopter to move it by hovering to another location on the property when he reportedly lost the tail rotor and went into a spin - crashing into a fence.

Parker escaped without serious injuries.

The FAA and the NTSB have been notified and will conduct an investigation.

Fire officials say there was no fuel spilled, and no fire at the crash scene.
