Male driver killed, second driver injured in I-275 collision in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG - One driver is dead and another is injured after getting into a fatal crash on I-275 southbound overnight.
The incident happened at the 22 nd Ave exit ramp just after 10:00 p.m. Sunday night.
For unknown reasons, both drivers collided with each other in the southbound lanes of I-275.
The vehicle of one driver, male, flipped, resulting in his death.
The road was temporarily closed but has since reopened.
The other driver was taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
