Former high school band director arrested again for having sex with a 15-year-old student

ST.PETERSBURG, Fla. - Former Lakewood High School band director arrested again, this time he is being charged with having consensual sexual intercourse with a 15 year old student.

St. Petersburg Police investigators from the Crimes Against Children Unit arrested 27-year-old Raphael McLean in March of this year after investigating a complaint. Police say a 15-year-old female student accused McLean of wrestling her to the floor in his office at the school, fondling her breasts without her consent, and also told investigators that a similar incident had happened before.

McLean denied the accusation, but admitted to the earlier wrestling incident with the victim. He denied touching the victim's breasts.

The female student admitted that between October 2009 and January 2010, she engaged in consensual sexual intercourse with McLean while he was the band director. She said that the sexual act took place on the desk in his office inside of the school's band room.

The victim in that investigation told police investigators that McLean was involved in sexual behavior with at least one other student at the school.
