ST. PETERSBURG - A woman shot and dropped off at Bayfront Medical Center early Friday morning has died.
St. Petersburg detectives said Felicia Vickers, 21, had life-threatening injuries when she was dropped off at the hospital by several people who quickly left before police arrived.
Homicide detectives believe Vickers was a passenger in a car with several others individuals.
They had stopped in the 500 block of 26th Avenue South when one of the occupants of the car Vickers was in became involved in argument with another individual standing outside the vehicle.
That person then fired shots into the car striking Vickers.
The vehicle Vickers was in has since been located and impounded for forensic processing.
The occupants of the car have also been located and interviewed by detectives.
The investigation is still ongoing.
