PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. - An arrest has been made in the double shooting that killed 58-year-old David Paonessa and injured his 66-year-old wife, Jane Bryant at their St. Petersburg home Wednesday night.

Pinellas detectives have charged one of two suspects, 28-year-old Jaquan Pedigo, with First Degree Murder and Attempted Murder.

The victims have been identified and deputies say the incident could possibly be drug related.

Detectives say a white Lexus drove up to the couple’s home, located at 2533 68 th Ave. N, and two black males got out of the vehicle, then went inside.

Others were present when the suspects shot Paonessa and Bryant around 7:30 p.m.

The two suspects fled from the home.

Both victims were sent to different hospitals. Paonessa was pronounced dead. Bryant was treated for gunshot wounds and there is no word on her current condition.

Detectives learned the identity of one of the suspects.

Pedigo was seen riding on his bicycle and was arrested.

The second suspect is still at large.

Detectives suspect the crime was drug related.
