PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. - A Pinellas County judge made what's believed to be a first ever ruling involving Facebook. Judge W. Douglas Baird says a debt collector can no longer contact a St. Petersburg woman through Facebook or 'any other social networking site.'

Mealnie Beacham filed a lawsuit against MarkOne Financial after she says they used Facebook to reach her along with her relatives. The company was trying to collect a $362 unpaid car loan.

Beacham's attorney, Billy Howard of the Morgan & Morgan law firm says MarkOne violated his client's privacy and Florida's consumer protection law. The law prohibits collectors from harassing people.
