ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -
If you Google 16-year old soccer goalie Bryane Heaberlin, you'll get more than 30-thousand hits, mostly about March 10th, 2010.

"It was a spontaneous hug. It wasn't meant to draw attention or anything," said Heaberlin.

The hug was offered to a Haitian goalkeeper. A team ravaged by homelessness and death but a team that had the courage to play in the women's 17-and-under World Cup in Costa Rica, following the earthquake. Now Heaberlin is turning that hug into a humanitarian effort.

"Just because we haven't heard about it in a while, doesn't mean it's gotten better," said the Berkeley Prep rising junior.

Heaberlin and her family have launched a non-profit called "Many hearts, One goal” to get the same Haitian team of girls to Florida to play soccer.

"In the heart, there are smaller hearts," said Heaberlin pointing to the foundation’s logo drawn by a classmate.

Heaberlin says Disney is offering room and board so the Haitians can compete in the Disney International Cup in July. The Haitian Federation sent Heaberlin word the team is coming to play.

But that's not where the teen's humanitarian effort will end. Her foundation is working to send the girls home with more than just memories.

"So instead of it being just like Costa Rica, where they go somewhere for two weeks, have a great time and don't want to leave, I want to continue it by raising enough money to send them back with modular homes," she said.

Heaberlin says she and her teammates are getting ready for the tournament next month at Disney and she's gotten word the Haitian team is prepping too, only that their soccer field is now a tent city.
