Hundreds answer call for extras in Spring Breakers movie; producers offer $150 to go topless

ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. - Hundreds of spring breakers may return home with a cool story for their friends about rubbing elbows with some big Hollywood stars.

The movie called Spring Breakers, currently under production in St. Petersburg, held a casting call for extras to shoot a big party scene in the movie.

Spring Breakers includes former Disney stars like Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens. James Franco and Ashley Benson are also in the movie.

But it appears those former Disney stars are all grown up now. Producers offered the extras $150 to appear topless.

We didn't find any who accepted the offer.

"It's really exciting to be an extra and it's something fun," said Carie Balderas, who's here on vacation. "I'm on my spring break, I thought it would be cool to come down here."

She and hundreds of others spent most of the day on the set near the Coral Reef Resort on St. Pete Beach.

"I got a scene with Selena and I got to see all the actors go up and act all crazy," said Joshua Ardon, one of the extras. "So it was good time."

Security guards closely monitored every entrance and exit to the filming set, but Action Air One caught the group filming what appeared to be the big party scene late in the afternoon.
