SEMINOLE, Fla. - At least five cats were killed when a Seminole home went up in flames this morning.
The fire broke out around 10:30 at 8656 Lantana Drive. No one was home at the time with the exception of seven cats. Five were found dead.
At last word, the other two had not been located.
Firefighters had the flames knocked down around 10:50 a.m. A HazMat team was dispatched to examine painting materials insid the garage.
The home is complete loss, according to a sheriff's information officer.
No other structures were affected.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
