PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - The  Pinellas Park High School teacher accused of having an illegal sexual relationship with a female student bonded out of jail Friday morning.

Jonathan Dunn, 28, was arrested Thursday morning and was held  at the Pinellas County Jail on a $70,000 bond.

The relationship is said to have taken place during a three-week time period in December, 2011, and included sexual activity at school and off campus.

At the time of the relationship, the victim was 16 years old.  She has since turned 18.

The suspect is also accused of engaging in sexually explicit, online conversations, with the victim during the relationship period.

Dunn was removed from the classroom on March 15, after reports of inappropriate text messages to a student, according to the Pinellas County School District.

Facing termination during the ensuing investigation, Dunn resigned Thursday.

He is charged with three counts of unlawful sex with a Minor and one count of transmission of material harmful to a minor.

Dunn also had a prior arrest in 2008 for alleged drunk driving.
The case remains under investigation.
