RIVERVIEW, Fla. - Hillsborough detectives have arrested a man in connection with a double homicide in Riverview.
Tyrell Bragg, 21, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Iesha Washington.
He has been booked into the Hillsborough County Jail, where he remains with no bond.
Detectives say evidence discovered at the crime scene indicates a second shooter was firing a handgun, which may have been used to kill Craig Thompson.
Authorities responded to a call about a shooting at 5020 Highway 41 South in Riverview around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
When deputies arrived on scene, they say more than 100 people were in the street running in all directions.
They quickly found 18-year-old Iesha Washington who had been shot and was already dead.
They then found a second victim, 22-year-old Craig Thompson, who also had been shot.
He was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
Detectives are still investigating this case, but say a "code of silence" is hindering their best efforts.
Anyone with information about a possible second shooter -- or ANY information related to this case -- is asked to call the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200.
